About

About Indie Ed Press

Curriculum written by an educator who has actually done the work.

Indie Ed Press is run by Sarah McCubbin, a homeschooling mother of nine with nearly twenty years in the trenches of independent education. She directed a homeschool co-op serving around 150 students, has written curriculum for homeschool families and microschools for years, and speaks and writes widely on curriculum, homeschooling, and education entrepreneurship.

Every unit published here starts the same way: it’s written for real students, taught in a real classroom or living room first, and revised based on what actually worked — not just what looked good on paper.

Our Mission

We strengthen independent education by building curriculum, connecting people, publishing ideas, and creating community. Indie Ed Press is where that mission takes the shape of resources you can put directly in front of your students — complete units, life skills curriculum, and history & civics resources built for homeschool families, co-ops, and microschools.

How This Fits Together

Indie Ed Press is the publishing and store arm of the Indie Education Network, a directory and community connecting independent educators, curriculum publishers, homeschool leaders, and microschool founders. We keep Indie Ed Press as its own home so the curriculum side of our work can grow on its own — including future plans to structure part of what we build here as a nonprofit.
